For those with more experience under their belts, our independent sessions at Cone 6 Ceramics offer the perfect blend of flexibility and creative freedom. Opt for our ClayQuarters, a 4-pack of independent sessions, or become a Studio Member to enjoy unlimited access to the studio. Both options allow you to work at your own pace, free from instruction, making them ideal for seasoned ceramicists looking to explore their craft on their own time.

Our 2000 sq ft. studio located in Mercado Del Barrio features several large hand building tables and 14 potter’s wheels for studio members to use at their leisure.

Studio Membership

If you’re a seasoned ceramicist looking for a home base to create - then look no further! Monthly memberships are available for experienced potters and handbuilders who would like to work independently with a flexible schedule. Being a studio member at Cone 6 Ceramics includes unlimited firing, access to all studio tools and glazes, as well as your own shelf space to keep all your pieces and supplies right in the studio.

ClayQuarters

Not ready to invest in a full studio membership? ClayQuarters includes 4 two hour sessions to use within 30 days. This offering is only for advanced potters who don’t require instruction or guidance.

Studio Membership

Unlimited Studio Hours

Experience unlimited studio access five days a week, featuring multiple two-hour sessions per day, offering ample opportunities to create and explore.

Access to all Tools and Equipment

Access to 12 potters' wheels, 3 generously sized working tables, a slab roller, an extruder, and a shared assortment of wheel throwing and handbuilding tools, empowering artists with a comprehensive creative environment to explore their craft.

Personal Shelf Space

Ensure easy access and safeguarding of your works in progress with a personal shelf space within our studio for storing your clay, glazes, tools, and artistic creations.

Monthly Firing- 15 Pieces

Each membership now includes a monthly allowance of up to 15 pieces for firing.

Sharing is caring! With 2 buddy passes per month you can bring a companion into the studio with you and share in the art of pottery.

Requirements:

  • Must have prior experience on the potter's wheel.

  • Due to limited studio space, in-progress works should not remain on our shelves for more than one or 2 weeks. Pieces left after 2 weeks will be recycled. 

  • No instruction will be provided.

  • Clay is not included and will be available for purchase in-studio for $30 per bag.

Work Trade Program

The Work Trade Program is designed to allow artists to continue their pottery journey through our studio membership in exchange for work duties at the studio. This program is mutually beneficial, offering you access to our facilities and resources while you contribute to the daily operations of the studio.

Responsibilities

As a participant in the Work Trade Program, you will be expected to fulfill certain duties each week. These duties are essential to the smooth functioning of the studio and include:

  • Teaching Classes and Workshops: Assist with or lead classes and workshops, sharing your knowledge and skills with other members.

  • In-Studio Duties: Tasks such as trimming, plugging, wedging, glazing, and other studio maintenance.
